Read Scripture: John 1:1-18 & Luke 2:1-20

The Messiah, the Prince of Peace, the King, Jesus Christ arrived and dwelt with us in the flesh. John 1:14 says, “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” Do you know how good this news is?

When Jesus was born, angels proclaimed these words from Luke chapter 2, verse 11: “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

Many of us have heard or read the birth story of Jesus before, but don’t forget the reality that Jesus’ arrival changed everything. 1 John 4:14 says, “And we have seen and we testify that the Father has sent his Son as the world’s Savior.” He came in the flesh as a baby, so that He could accomplish the perfect will of the Father, making a way for us to be in restored relationship with God. John 3:16 says, “For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” As the angels from heaven have said, this is good news, of great joy, for all people!

Throughout the Christmas season, we have had the opportunity to remember and to celebrate the arrival of Jesus Christ as Messiah. He has come, in great humility and with great power. He has restored our hope, our peace and our joy, and He poured out His perfect love on us.

Jesus has arrived, and He is going to come again just as He has promised. Revelation 22:7 says, “Look, I am coming soon!”

As we step into the coming year, let us live in response to the good news of Jesus Christ every day. Let us celebrate the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ with a passionate response, so that we may live an abundant life, shining His glory to the rest of the world. <3
