Let us celebrate all that God has done. <3
There has been so much to celebrate in my little life the last few months. Even as I write this, I have two days until I get to marry my fiancé! I’ve learned more now than ever what a JOY it is to celebrate others, and to celebrate the good in my own life.
The Lord has opened my eyes to an important truth. With all of the sweet things happening right now, at the core, we’re always celebrating the same thing.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” — James 1:17
Look at all that God has done!
You may not be in the same season of joyous celebration. Maybe it’s a season of struggle, of lows, where it doesn’t feel like there’s much to celebrate. I’ve been there too, friend. To encourage you—when you really look at where you are at and where you have come from, there is always the same reason to celebrate. This doesn’t mean we have to feel happy in the midst of every trial, but God’s goodness and our praise to Him is never based on our feelings.
Look at all that God has done!
There is pain and there is joy in every season, and we can’t miss the truth of God’s glory. Regardless of where you’re at right now, look to the work done on the cross and the character of our good, good Father. Look to the story of God's glory displayed throughout the Word. He has pursued you in love, and He’s pursuing you still today. Nothing can undo the power of the cross and the gift of redemption He has given to you. He has already done more than enough to be worthy of all our praise.
On any given day, God remains the same. He remains just as good in every season. Ask God to open your eyes to His glory and His goodness. It is already all around you. <3
“Hallelujah!
Praise God in his sanctuary.
Praise him in his mighty expanse.
Praise him for his powerful acts;
Praise him for his abundant greatness.
Praise him with trumpet blast;
Praise him with harp and lyre.
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
Praise him with strings and flute.
Praise him with resounding cymbals;
Praise him with clashing cymbals.
Let everything that breathes praise the Lord.
Hallelujah!”
—Psalm 150
Let us celebrate all that God has done. <3
